OpenSIPS IMS
Community Edition
The OpenSIPS IMS project provides a complete working IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) stack, covering Core Network, IMS Core and Application Server. The CSCF (Call Session Control Function) IMS component is OpenSIPS based and compliant with the 3GPP specifications for IMS and VoLTE integration.
The OpenSIPS IMS is a seamless docker-based integration between the Docker Open5GS 4G Core Network and the OpenSIPS CSCF (Call Session Control Function) component, providing a fully functional IMS solution.
The current OpenSIPS CSCF implementation includes the following sub-components:
- P-CSCF (Proxy CSCF): Acts as the entry point for SIP signaling, providing initial security, routing, and NAT traversal functionalities.
- I-CSCF (Interrogating CSCF): Manages SIP signaling for session control and ensures secure interactions between home and external networks.
- S-CSCF (Serving CSCF): Handles session management, including registration, authentication, and routing for end-user SIP sessions.

Feature Set
Docker architecture
The OpenSIPS IMS solution deploys two well integrated groups of docker containers.
- the OpenSIPS CSCF group of containers, provided by the OpenSIPS project:
- P-CSCF (Proxy Call Session Control Function)
- I-CSCF (Interrogating Call Session Control Function)
- S-CSCF (Serving Call Session Control Function)
- OpenSIPS Control Panel (provisioning and monitoring for OpenSIPS)
- the group of containers provided by the Docker Open5GS environment, covering the Core Network layer, partial Core IMS layer (IMS HSS, MySQL database) and the Application Server layer.
